Bailey's Bottom Line on Terms: This is the agreement between you and us when you use this store. It's reasonable. I checked it against my own high standards.

Welcome to Lab Life Shop, operated by 17606656 Canada Inc. ("Lab Life Shop," "we," "us"). Lab Life Shop is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide our store and website (the "Services") to you. By accessing, browsing, or purchasing from lablifeshop.com, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Access and Account

By using the Services, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your province, state, or territory of residence, and that you consent to any minor dependents using the Services on a device you own or manage. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide (email, billing, shipping) and for the security of any account credentials. You may not transfer, sell, or assign your account to anyone else.

2. Our Products

We make every effort to accurately represent our products, but colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on your screen and device settings. Product descriptions are subject to change at our discretion, and we reserve the right to discontinue a product or limit quantities at any time. All apparel is made to order — see our Return Policy for how this affects returns.

3. Orders & Payment

Placing an order is an offer to purchase — it isn't accepted until we confirm it and process your payment. Please review your order carefully before submitting, as we may be unable to accommodate cancellation requests once an order is accepted. If we're unable to accept, need to change, or need to cancel an order, we'll contact you using the email, billing address, or phone number provided at checkout, and issue a full refund where applicable.

By placing an order you confirm the information provided is accurate and that you're authorized to use the payment method. Purchases from Lab Life Shop are for your own personal or household use, not for commercial resale or export, unless we've agreed to a wholesale arrangement with you in writing. We reserve the right to cancel orders suspected of fraud, unauthorized activity, or resale intent.

4. Prices and Billing

All prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless displayed otherwise via our currency converter, and do not include taxes, shipping, or customs/import charges unless stated. Prices, discounts, and promotions are subject to change without notice, and the price charged will be the price shown at the time your order is confirmed. Promotional terms, where offered, govern over these Terms in the event of a conflict. In the event of a clear pricing error, we reserve the right to cancel affected orders and issue a full refund.

5. Shipping and Delivery

Governed by our Shipping Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed, and we are not liable for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs processing, or other events outside our control — though we will always help you track down a delayed order. Once a product is transferred to the carrier, risk of loss passes to you, except where you're entitled to a remedy under our Return Policy.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this store — designs, logos, character artwork (including Winnie, Jesse, Zoe, Lucy, Bailey, and Murf), text, images, and the Lab Life brand — is the property of 17606656 Canada Inc. and is protected by Canadian and international copyright and trademark law. LAB LIFE is a trademark of 17606656 Canada Inc. (CIPO Application #2480380). Shopify's own name, logo, and trademarks belong to Shopify and are used here under license as our platform provider.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission. You may absolutely tell your friends about us. Bailey encourages it.

8. Feedback & User Content

If you submit content to us — reviews, photos of your dog, survey responses, or other feedback — you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, sublicensable, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify, and display it for any purpose, including marketing and commercial use, with attribution where practical. We're under no obligation to keep your feedback confidential, compensate you for it, or respond to it. As a courtesy, we will honour reasonable requests to remove your content from active use — email hello@lablifeshop.com. You're responsible for ensuring anything you submit doesn't violate someone else's rights and doesn't contain unlawful, abusive, or malicious content.

9. Optional Tools & Third-Party Links

The Services may include tools or links provided by third parties (for example, email or chat widgets). We don't control these tools and provide access to them "as is," without warranty, and without liability for your use of them. The same applies to any third-party websites we link to — you use them at your own risk, and any issues with third-party products or content should be directed to that third party.

10. Relationship with Shopify

Lab Life Shop is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. Any sales and purchases you make in our store are made directly with Lab Life Shop. By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of any sales between you and Lab Life Shop, including any injury, damage, or loss resulting from purchased products and services. You expressly release Shopify and its affiliates from all claims, damages, and liabilities arising from or related to your purchases and transactions with Lab Life Shop.

11. Privacy

All personal information we collect is subject to our Privacy Policy. Because the Services are hosted by Shopify, certain personal information may also be processed under Shopify's Privacy Policy.

12. Errors, Inaccuracies & Omissions

Occasionally the store may contain typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions relating to product descriptions, pricing, or availability. We reserve the right to correct these, update information, or cancel affected orders at any time, including after you've submitted an order — with a full refund where applicable.

13. Prohibited Uses

You may use the Services for lawful purposes only. You agree not to: violate any law or regulation; infringe our intellectual property or anyone else's; harass, abuse, or harm any person; transmit false or misleading information; send spam, chain letters, or unsolicited advertising; impersonate any person or entity; upload viruses or malicious code; scrape, extract, or resell any portion of the Services; collect or track other users' personal information; or use bots, scrapers, automated tools, or AI agents to access the Services except as permitted under Section 14 below. We may suspend or terminate access at any time, without notice, for violating these Terms.

14. Automated & AI Agent Access

This section applies if you use or deploy any software or service ("Agent") that takes autonomous or semi-autonomous action on the Services on your behalf. An Agent may not access or use the Services unless, at all times, it: (i) identifies itself as an Agent in its request headers (e.g. "Agent/[agent name]"); (ii) does not conceal that it is a computer program, including by mimicking human interaction patterns or bypassing CAPTCHAs; (iii) responds truthfully if asked whether it is an Agent; and (iv) does not circumvent any measure we use to block, limit, or control Agent access. We may restrict Agent access at any time, including by technical measures, and may block a specific Agent if requested.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, in our sole discretion, without notice, and you'll remain responsible for any amounts already due. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Intellectual Property, Feedback, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law — will continue to apply.

16. Disclaimer of Warranties

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED, THE SERVICES AND PRODUCTS OFFERED THROUGH THEM ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act or equivalent legislation in your jurisdiction that cannot be excluded by agreement.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 17606656 Canada Inc.'s total liability for any claim arising from your use of this store or products purchased is limited to the amount you paid for the product(s) in question. Neither we, nor Shopify and its affiliates, will be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind — including lost profits or lost data — arising from your use of the Services, whether based in contract, tort, or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 17606656 Canada Inc., Shopify, and our respective affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or liabilities — including reasonable legal fees — arising from your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law or third-party right, or your use of the Services. We'll notify you of any such claim; we may control its defense and settlement at your expense, but won't settle in a way that imposes non-monetary obligations on you without your consent.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, it will be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions stay in full effect. Ambiguities in these Terms will not be construed against whichever party drafted them.

20. Waiver; Entire Agreement

Our failure to enforce any part of these Terms doesn't waive our right to do so later. These Terms, together with any policies referenced here, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services, superseding any prior communications or agreements.

21. Assignment

You may not transfer or assign these Terms or your rights under them without our written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms without notice — for example, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets.

22. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.

23. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time by posting changes to this page. Material changes will be noted here and, where required by law, communicated to you directly. Continued use of the store after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
